What You Need To Know…
Ministry Purpose: To provide a structure whereby the seniors of New Hope can meet together, share their experiences, explore church and community resources and most importantly use their spiritual gifts toward kingdom building and serving our local church.
What We’re Doing:
1. Bringing together the seniors of New Hope (persons at or over the age of retirement) to meet regularly to fellowship with one another in regular monthly meetings and through other activities such as trips and Friday Night Fellowships.
2. Encouraging worship among seniors at New Hope, sister churches and other seniors in the surrounding community.
3. Establishing networks and providing resources to seniors at New Hope and in the community, building relationships between seniors and community organizations and leaders.
4. Providing an opportunity for New Hope seniors to evangelize and minister to others as they visit the homes of shut-ins, the hospitals and convalescent homes.
5. Discipling and mentoring younger Christians in the church and community.
When We Meet:
Monthly in the Minnie Mikes Hall – Date and time to be announced
Why should you join the Senior Adult Ministry?
You should join the ministry both for what it is doing now and for its potential for the future. Presently, members enjoy fellowship, Bible study and ministry projects. In the future, members plan to be instrumental in staffing a nursery for the church as well as meeting with other Christian seniors in our community.
