Presently, we live in a world that makes it incredibly difficult to slow ourselves down long enough to hear God speak to our inner selves. As a young child, there were occasions when I along with my siblings, were hyperactive, excitable and vocally expressive (loudly expressive). Lovingly, and no doubt a bit frustrated with the volume of childish enjoyment, my Mother would audibly wish for just a few minutes of peace and quiet. Precious are the moments of our Solitude and Silence for in those moments, like my Mother in days gone by, we gather strength. The Psalmist implores us to “Be Still and Know that I am God, and that I will be exalted among the nations. On the first Sunday of each month, during our prelude period, we here at New Hope have chosen to practice solitude. We quiet our souls before God so as to gather the strength that only He can provide.
Before our Services, We speak with God.
During our Services, God will speak with us.
After our Services, We speak to each other.
We are praying that God will speak to you in a personal way during your experience on our website. As He speaks, you may become aware of a personal commitment to Him. Visit our church, you will be invited to come forward to the front of the worship center. Our trained commitment counselors will be happy to assist you.
